Fresh Sugar Lychee eau de parfum Rollerball

I haven't posted a blog post in a very long time. There isn't an excuse, but the fact that I had to prepare for my first finals in college. Winter break started and I have just been relaxing and reminiscing about my first semester of college. I have to admit my first semester in college flew by and I have no idea where time has gone. And this is my last post in the year 2013!
Wishing you all a Happy New Year and a wonderful 2014!
Enough talking about myself and why I haven't been posting...we'll get into this perfume, Fresh Sugar Lychee. I have heard a lot about this perfume on the internet, talking about how good and fresh this perfume smells. I have finally found a rollerball size of this perfume at Sephora and decided to make a purchase. Since I have many perfumes and know for a fact that I can never finish a full size bottle, I always opt for the rollerball. This perfume is exactly what the name is, a very sweet, sugary, and fresh perfume. I think one of the top notes to this perfume would be lemon. This perfume is definitely a great item for someone who wants something that is light and fresh. I have been wearing this perfume almost every day, since I have gotten it.

Revlon's Parfumerie in Wintermint

I was browsing my CVS and was instantly attracted to these new Revlon polishes. The main reason was the bottle. I love the rounded cap! These polishes are supposed to have a faint smell after the polish has dried. I picked up "Wintermint" because it reminded me of a mermaid...and who wouldn't want to have mermaid nails? This color went on like a dream and dried relatively fast. The scent to this did not smell like winter mint but a very faint scent of something sweet... I love these polishes because they have such adorable packaging and apply like a dream!

September 2013 Favorites

Pssssst! Instant Dry Shampoo
This has been the dry shampoo I have been using consistently for the past couple of months. I am completely done with the can...anyways this has a baby powder smell to it (which I am not a huge fan of) but it is AMAZING! It absorbs the oils like a dream and keeps my hair matte for the whole day! I spray this on second day hair and it's just a dream!

Out The Door Matte Top Coat For Nails
After seeing the matte top coat trend for months I decided to pick up a bottle for myself! If you didn't know... Out The Door makes my favorite regular top coat! It dries literally in seconds. I love the look of matte nails for a chic effect. The only downfall I found in this was that my nails don't stay looking matte for as long as I want it too, but other than that, this gives my nails the amazing matte look for 2-3 days!

Real Techniques Buffing Brush
I have been using this brush to buff my foundation in for the longest time! This gives my face a beautiful finish and blends everything into my face like a dream. It keeps my morning face routine to a minimal amount of time!

Real Techniques Blush Brush
I haven't been using this brush for blush...but bronzer. I guess bronzer and blush are about the same, right? This has been a breeze for me to contour my face. It doesn't give me that chiseled look for my face but an everyday natural bronzey look.

Physician's Formula Bronze Booster
I have been using this bronzer consistently. I have the light to medium shade and I just swirl my Real Techniques Blush Brush into it and it looks nice without looking too orangey. I adore using this product to give my face some color.

Maybelline Colossal Volume Cat Eyes in Waterproof
I have been layering this mascara on top of any volumizing mascara I am wearing for that day. This helps my lashes look longer and helps me lock everything in so I know my mascara won't smudge around my eyes.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss
I love using this product for my lazy days. The days where I just need some color to my lips but I don't feel like pulling out a lip balm and lipstick. This is a 2 in 1 product for me. Especially now that I have started school and can be in a rush to get out the door in the morning!

Snickers Fun Size Chocolates
Now that I am a college student, I have back to back classes and each class is an hour and half long! So when I am feeling hungry I have this little guy to keep me going for the rest of the day till I can actually go and get real food.

Current: Herbal Essences Honey, I'm Strong

I will be starting to post about what I am currently using as my shampoo and conditioner. This will let you know what I am using and how I feel about it. I like to try new things, so I thought this would be a great way to record it.
I'm pretty sure you all have heard of Herbal Essences and probably have tried something from one of their lines. This shampoo targets those who want to have something that can help strengthen their hair so you will have long, healthy, and strong hair. I don't know if this really helps with my hair being longer because I was blessed to have genes where my hair grows relatively fast. I'm not too sure if this really helps my hair keep healthy, because I never really experienced problems with dry, damaged hair. Even if I do have damaged hair it would be split ends which I solve by getting a trim.
I have pretty long hair and do use heat once in a while and haven't discovered any split ends so I'm guessing this shampoo is doing the trick?
One thing I do like about this shampoo is that it smells terrific! I don't think it smells like honey...like the bottle states. Though I kind of feel this shampoo does make hair feel a little heavy and my hair does get greasy a lot faster, especially since I wash my hair every other day. Other than that, I do enjoy this shampoo and conditioner a lot!

August 2013 Favorites

I'm going to start doing a favorites post each month on my blog! I thought it would be a easy way to share my thoughts and opinion on what I'm liking. Maybe I'll start adding other favorites that are non-beauty? Anyways without further ado, let's start!

Physician's Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Lash Boosting Mascara:
I love this mascara! It gives my lashes a good even coat of volume without looking clumpy. This mascara isn't a very "wet" mascara, so it dries fast and helps me hold a curl. One downfall I found with this is that it smudges on me, so I just had a waterproof mascara on top and it lasts all day! This mascara combo gives my lashes a falsie effect.

EOS Lip Balm in Passionfruit:
I've had an obsession with EOS lip balms since I discovered them my freshman year of high school! I love how they come in a little ball shape, and it gives me the perfect amount of hydration that doesn't feel like something is sitting on my lips. I've tried a lot of their scents and this one I just discovered and have been using this as a lip balm non stop! It's not too sweet or fruity but the perfect amount of each combined.

Essie's Nail Polish in Boxer Shorts:
This color is a shade of purple that I don't own in my collection. It's a purple that has a blue undertone in it. It's still a bright color but dark at the same time, perfect for a transitioning from summer to fall.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation:
I have been using this foundation almost every single day of the week. This foundation may replace my holy grail Revlon Colorstay. One of the main reasons is that this foundation has a pump, something Revlon can really work on! Also this literally lasts all day on my face without it moving around in the hot summer months. If you're looking for a new foundation definitely check this one out.
(For color references I'm around a NC25-30 and I use 842 Medium Beige)

Maybelline's Color Whisper in Petal Rebel:
I have already done a review on this lip stick. Now this color just looks great for the summer time. It's a really pretty pink color.
You can check out the review here.

Biore Acne Clearing Scrub:
I love this scrub and use it every night in the shower! It isn't abrasive to the skin because it uses little microbeads to help you scrub off the dead skin cells. I found that this helped a lot with my acne. And I have used this for the past 4 months? I think this is my favorite cleanser/scrub from Biore.

Jenna Hipp's Private Getaway

Jenna Hipp's "Private Getaway" is such a nice classic red! It gives you a red that isn't overly dark or bright, so it's perfect for all seasons giving your nails a perfect color. Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, and honestly I have no excuse as to why I haven't posted. Maybe it's summer and I don't feel like trying as much products? I'm not sure but I will definitely try to get back to posting more!

MAC Haul

MAC Blush in Pink Swoon
MAC Lipstick in Ravishing
MAC Pearlmatte Face Powder in Pink Buttercream
MAC RiRi Hearts Blush Duo in Hibiscus Kiss

So I had a gift card to MAC and I thought I should walk in and spend it! I went to the MAC in Soho and got the blush in Pink Swoon and lipstick in Ravishing. Both of these were products I've wanted to try for a long time. Pink Swoon is such a nice pink it's very light but it's still very visible for light complexion. Ravishing is such a pretty peachy-coral color! Nothing too bright but the perfect amount of color to the lips!
I ordered products online and let me tell you it was not a good experience! I really wanted the RiRi blush duo in Hibiscus Kiss and the RiRi collection is only available online. I went online at 12 pm on the day of the release to try to get my hands on this product. There was a waiting room! It took me about 2 hours to finally get the order to process. And with that blush I decided to get the pearlmatte face powder in Pink Buttercream from a collection a couple months ago? Anyways I love everything I have purchased!

Jenna Hipp What's Hot Now Nail Collection

I found this nail kit in Costco around 2 weeks ago? I was walking down my local Costco by the beauty area and this caught my eye! 12 nail polishes for $15 (if I remember correctly). The colors are very pretty! You have the pale pastel colors for spring, the brights, and the dark colors! This kit is perfect for all the seasons. These are the mini versions and not the full size but the brush isn't small. You can still apply a nice generous amount of color to the nail. One thing I found with this nail polish is that it doesn't seem to last long on my nails...it chipped a lot faster compared to my other polishes. Nonetheless this kit is a great kit for yourself or as a gift!

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss

I think this lip balm has been on the internet for quite some time now. And I own two out of the three scents and I will go and get the last scent! Now this lip butter is VERY buttery. I own another scent and this one is definitely much more buttery than the other one. Since this is so buttery it is very soft so if you do plan on getting one, don't dig your fingers into this. Besides the texture of this it is very moisturizing and doesn't feel greasy on your lips. One thing I find with this is that if you put too much on your lips it leaves a white/pink residue on your lips. Now the smell of this is definitely very berry like. I would definitely recommend this one if you love fruity berry scents!

Soap & Glory A Great Kisser

I don't know where to begin with this product! I first saw this product in a Seventeen magazine and I thought wow $10 for a lip balm...but I never owned any Soap & Glory products so I thought I might as well give it a shot. Especially since I had the 15% off coupon from Sephora. I got it and the first time I dipped my hand into the pot I thought this can't be a lip balm...it has the consistency of a lip gloss. When I applied it on my lips it felt nice and thick but it didn't feel heavy at all. It has a slight stickiness to it but it isn't a crazy annoying lip gloss stickiness. Also this lip balm smells absolutely divine of peaches! Anyways this stuff is awesome and keeps your lips nice and moisturized! I must say this stuff has replaced all my favorite lip balms! And you can tell how I much I have enjoyed this product since my hands has made a pretty big dent in it.

Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream

I think this BB Cream might replace my love for the Dr. Jart+ Black Label BB Cream. It has the coverage I need and want yet it lasts a lot longer compared to my Dr. Jart+, I still have to put powder over this but this seems to have a much better oil control. The consistency of this is very similar to the Black Label BB Cream...easy to blend and sits very nice on my skin. I think this one would work for both oily and dry skin. It controls the oil but I don't think it will make those who have dry skin appear even more flaky. I think this BB Cream is one of my favorites and if you're looking for a new one to try out I would definitely recommend this one!

Maybelline The Mega Plush Mascara

If you didn't read my last post on the Maybelline The Rocket Volum Express, my HG mascara is the Maybelline's Falsie mascara. That mascara gives everything my lashes need and wants. The volume and curling power makes my lashes look amazing! Now this mascara is a gel mousse mascara and to be honest I wasn't expecting much out of this. I thought it'll be just another mascara that is too wet and makes my lashes droop. Nope this mascara isn't anything near the word wet so it keeps my lashes nice and curled! The volume is definitely there and doesn't feel heavy on my lashes whatsoever! I definitely recommend this to those who don't like heavy mascaras that take forever to dry!
